Washer enclosure removal
Some of my other posts did not show detail for the removal of washer clips. Once these clips have been removed the washer enclosure can be pulled off. Here is a pic that shows where to place the screwdriver in relation to clip.

Washer pump fix
Had a washer pump that would not pump out the water. This was very unusual sor these maytag direct-drive washers. In this instance the motor would spin. The impeller would spin, but no pump. No clogs either. Wierd appliance! Oh we'll, we replaced it with a new one.

Bad Maytag washer pump bearing
This is a drain pump I pulled from a maytag washer. You can see the metallic area that has been exposed around the bearing area. The customer had been complaining about a screeching sound during the spin cycle. These cannot be repaired and must be replaced.

Boise zoo appliance repair
We repaired two dryers at the Boise zoo today. Here is a pic of a robotic dinosaur in the pond. The kids really got excited watching this thing roar. That was fun. Both of the dryers we fixed were frigidaire stack units so there was a lot of labor involved. The personnel were very friendly and we got to see how the animals food was prepared. Can you say crickets? They had a lot of those for the lizards.
